“ Very fun dive type spot that has amazing food. Their outside seating is great for a nice day, and they have several inside tables as well. You go up to the counter to order and they also have daily specials. The food was amazing and had just the right amount of texture and chew plus yummy sauce. Awesome! I also got some local honey and they have several other fun items to purchase (drinks, sweets). Definitely worth checking out! ”

“ Order at the counter to eat in or carry out. Cold display cases have some desserts, tubbed sides, beverages. The young woman at the counter wasn't overly warm, but she was helpful & pleasant enough to get the job done. She did seem puzzled on how to provide me with an iced cafe con leche ("sorry we don't do iced") but when I said well just a cup of ice on the side will be fine she got it. This happens a lot - like if the stuff doesn't come out of a machine it can't be done . We ordered and sat down. The first table was wooden and very sticky so we moved to a Formica topped table and it was much better. Worn painted floors can be part of the charm but these floors were just plain dirty. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. The place felt clean from a sanitation perspective but also oddly...grubby. Disinfecting is good but ya gotta degrease now and then, too. So the food. We both had the Mami Pork with cafe con leches (mine over ice). Our kitchen is under renovation so we went ahead and ordered a 1904 Salad and a large Loaded Potato Soup for dinner later. The Mami pork was very good although I thought the rice was lacking in flavor. The beans were very tasty though and mixing it all up made up for the plain rice. He came out to our table piping hot and I could not finish even half of my plate just great. The buttered Cuban bread was delicious and a nice accompaniment. Later on we had salad and soup for dinner and they were terrific. The soup was spicier than expected - cheesy with nice chunks of ham, peppers, & potato - nice. The salad didn't hold up well in the fridge for several hours, but it was still really tasty, easily rivaling the 1904 at Columbia. All in all it was a great experience, and we were happy to have finally discovered this place after living in the area for quite some time. We will definitely be back! ”
